About Us Rugged Interactive is a small but fast-growing and ambitious high-tech play and fitness equipment company. Our biggest and most exciting market is ‘Active Fun’, and we sell our interactive tag systems, football targets, reaction and climbing games into trampoline parks, family entertainment centres and indoor playgrounds all over the world. We have another product called the ‘CardioWall’, which we sell into schools, retirement communities, mental health wards, rehab units and gyms. We have our HQ in Cornwall and a commercial office in Bristol, which is where this role is based. We’re looking for a well-organised, on-the-ball Digital Marketing Executive & Content Creator that has a genuine passion for video editing, photography and can deliver our social media marketing activity in an authentic creative way whilst also delivering our email marketing communictions. Role Summary Digital marketing - research, plan, produce and create a schedule of relevant and meaningful content to be used across different social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube on scheduling platform Hootsuite)Copywriting – generate creative and engaging content for blogs, newsletters and social media and ensure the correct tone for the market you are speaking toBrainstorm, conceptualise and storyboard creative briefs with the marketing teamProduce content from visiting venues and sites across the UK & more.Photography - Capture engaging, authentic content and can edit photos to be used on marketing and sales channels & materials.Videography – Able to storyboard, film, edit, change the pace of a video and can overlay transitions, music and text seamlessly.Artwork creation and design work - basic design work in Canva and PhotoshopEmail marketing - design and implementation of mailshots through MailChimp/Pipedrive Visit UK & occasionally foreign customer sites for capturing testimonials, demo videos etcYou may be required to attend annual trade shows in the UK and Europe Develop creative ideas, suggest new innovative ways of delivering digital content, and keep up to date with the latest digital marketing trendsKeep our databases up to date, helping drive data for future learning Help RI to keep growing by doing whatever is needed ‘for the cause’About You Skills and experience required:Confident with writing social media posts, marketing activity and implementation across digital platformsAble to create simple social media campaign plans and run social media platforms (posting of content on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest)Familiar with the email marketing platform MailChimp and able to design and implement mailshots to our databaseConfident with video editing using Premier Pro or a similar video editing softwareAble to complete basic design work using Photoshop / Illustrator / Canva Personal attributes / working styleVery well organised and good at following a process, keeping records and generally being ‘on the ball’ / good with detail Comfortable with multi-tasking and managing a number of projects at one timeFriendly, outgoing, positive and good fun – we think a sense of humour is essential for good team workingVery much a team player – challenges are often best overcome together, and communication is everythingGood communication skills, verbal communicator, good on the phoneGood at using your initiative Able to work without the need to be supervised (after your initial training of course!) and a completer-finisherInterested in sport and exercise with a competitive spirit – it’s at the core of what we doAdditional skills preferred:Copywriting of marketing posts, mailshots and blogsVisual design aptitude (good at making documents look professional)Familiar with paid advertising through Facebook and LinkedInKnowledge of Google advertising and Google AnalyticsExperience of creating and implementing customer surveysExperience required:Minimum of 2 years doing the main roles associated with this opportunity (social media management, email marketing implementation, basic video capture and editing)Working arrangements:Full time – minimum of 37.5 hours a weekBased in Bristol – currently at Future Space on the UWE campusHybrid working – currently we work 2-3 days per week in the office, 2-3 days from homeRegular visits to UK customer sites for capturing testimonials, demo videos etc, and potential for annual trade shows in Birmingham and LondonAdditional information:Preferred candidates will have achieved a minimum 2:2 grade at undergraduate degree level, ideally in a relevant course related to this roleYou will need to be able to get to our office on the UWE Campus, preferably without the need for a car (the site has limited parking spaces, but plenty of public transport as it is on UWE Campus by Abbey Wood)Salary Range: This role offers a starting salary of £26,000 - £29,000 depending upon relevant experience.
