Year 3 Teaching Assistant Location: Southwark Position: Year 3 Teaching Assistant Employment Type: Full Time Start Date: ASAP Salary: Competitive, based on experience About Us: Our Ofsted Outstanding client school in the Borough of Southwark is looking for a Year 3 Teaching Assistant for an ASAP start. They pride themselves on the behaviour of their pupils. The SENDCo is now looking for an experienced Year 3 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with ASD. This is a one form entry, Church School. Key Responsibilities: * Support the classroom teacher in supporting a SEN pupil. * Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. * Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities. * Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. * Provide one-on-one support to a child with Autism. * Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement. Requirements: * Qualifications: Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. * Experience: Previous experience working within a classroom as a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant. * Knowledge: Understanding of Autism and supporting pupils accordingly. * Desirable: Experience working with children in a school setting.
