Financial Controller Sunderland Permanent £40,000 - 45,000 depending upon experience Full time on site We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Statements and Management Accounts Specialist to join our team. This role will focus on the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial statements and management accounts to support informed decision-making and ensure compliance with financial regulations. ROLE SNAPSHOT * Prepare, analyse, and present accurate financial statements * Generate and oversee management accounts, providing insights on financial performance and operational efficiency. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary data for financial reporting. * Ensure timely completion of financial reports and adherence to deadlines. * Be division point of contact for HNRC import and export controls * Assist in the development of financial forecasts and budgets. * Work with internal projects to support Capex project spend control * Support external audits by providing necessary documents and answering inquiries. CORE REQUIREMENTS * Experience delivering FC expertise within manufacturing/production/engineering * Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, Degree) * Ability to analyse financial data and prepare reports. * Excellent IT skills, advanced Excel and proficiency with accounting software * Understanding of customs regulations, trade compliance, and international logistics. * Demonstrable experience managing teams and leading financial strategy. * Strong attention to accuracy and detail in financial reporting.
