Full Stack JavaScript Developer (1 year relevant experience required)

Join us as a Full Stack JavaScript Developer at Barclays, where you will use your knowledge of full stack JavaScript development to build innovative solutions for our core Data Platform. You will be comfortable working on both the frontend and backend in JavaScript to deliver optimised solutions for our stakeholders with a rich user experience.

To be successful as a Full Stack JavaScript Developer you should have experience with:
? Ability to write clean, maintainable, and scalable code using Typescript.
? Proficiency in building and optimising backend services and APIs with Node.js focusing on performance, scalability, and efficient data handling.
? Experience deploying, managing, and scaling applications in cloud environments, leveraging cloud-native technologies for resilience and performance.

Some other highly valued skills may include:
? Proven experience working within Agile Scrum Frameworks, participating in sprints, and contributing to continuous delivery and improvement.
? Strong ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders, understanding requirements and aligning technical solutions with business goals.
? Working knowledge of tools such as JIRA and Confluence for task management and documentation.

To design, develop, and improve software utilizing various engineering methodologies that provide business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues.

**Accountabilities**
? Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
? Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
? Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
? Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization’s technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
? Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
? Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
