Role Overview: The Site Engineer will play a crucial role in overseeing site surveying activities and ensuring accurate implementation of designs using Total Station and AutoCAD technologies. This position requires strong technical expertise in surveying methodologies and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed site surveys using Total Station equipment to establish accurate site control points and topographical data.
  • Utilise AutoCAD software to produce precise drawings, plans, and layouts for construction activities.
  • Collaborate closely with the project management team to ensure alignment of survey data with project timelines and milestones.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to subcontractors and site operatives regarding surveying and layout requirements.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of surveying activities, identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
  • Maintain accurate records of survey data, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of as-built documentation and reports for project handover.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Site Engineer or similar role within the construction or renewable energy sector, ideally on solar farm projects.
  • Proficiency in using Total Station equipment for precise site surveying and layout.
  • Advanced skills in AutoCAD software for generating detailed drawings and plans.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, site operations, and health and safety practices.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a dynamic project environment.
  • Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
