Head of Compliance & MLRO (SMF16 & 17) Investment Management Location: Remote (but 2-3 days / fortnight in Birmingham office) Salary: To £100k + benefits Are you looking for more flexibility to work from home? That's what's on offer here. The firm's working model means you can work from home 7 days in every 10. So that's only 3 days in the office every fortnight. You can spread these out or do them in one block, it's up to you. Operating in a standalone capacity initially, you’ll be working for a small but fast-growing Discretionary Investment Manager, with around £4bn AUM. You’ll provide day-to-day Compliance advice to the Board and oversee the management and ongoing development of the Compliance Monitoring plan. You'll also undertake horizon scanning, ensuring the business adapts to regulatory changes accordingly. In your capacity as MLRO you’ll review the adequacy of EDD, CDD, KYC and KYB other related processes as well as the overall AML/CTF framework and provide ongoing assessment of Financial Crime risks facing the business. You’ll have gained experience in a similar role within the Investment Management arena. You’ll have a proven track record of senior stakeholder engagement and possess excellent communication, negotiating and influencing skills. If you've already operated as an SMF16/17 then this would be advantageous (but it's not essential). You must also be happy working in a hands-on manner – you’ll never be far from the coalface.
