National Account Manager

Location: Hybrid (2 days in the office, 3 days from home or with customers)

Salary: £60-70K depending on experience

Bonus: Up to 10% of salary based on KPIs at manager's discretion

We are seeking a dynamic National Account Manager to strengthen relationships with key UK retail accounts and major distribution partners. Your mission will be to surprise and delight customers, ensuring maximum endorsement and attention for our brands.

Key Responsibilities:

Account Management and Customer Relationships:

  • Manage key accounts including Boots, ASOS, Look Fantastic, Argos, Superdrug, and Holland and Barrett.
  • Develop and execute promotional plans with retailers and distribution partners to drive sales around key events.
  • Identify marketing opportunities and collaborate with retailers and Brand Managers to create activation plans.
  • Analyze stock needs, build forecasts, and manage order placements with retailers and distributors.
  • Conduct regular meetings and key range review events to present updates and pitch new opportunities.
  • Negotiate cost prices and promotional costs to secure the best deals while maintaining retailer engagement.
  • Ensure successful launches of new products and range changes, expanding retail footprint and visibility.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize costs, enhance marketing exposure, and achieve revenue growth.
  • Track and analyze sales performance, manage product/category performance, and create internal reports.

Operational Integration:

  • Provide comprehensive forecasts for stock and sales, working with operations to ensure stock availability and smooth order processing.
  • Oversee purchase orders, manage stock limitations or delays, and ensure compliance with retailer expectations.
  • Coordinate with warehouse teams to expedite orders and manage returns and credits.
  • Offer insights on stock forecasting and support NPD team with customer feedback, pricing analysis, and deadlines.
  • Manage the end-to-end process for new account setups.

Ideal Candidate:

  • 2-3 years of experience in account management for major UK accounts, particularly with Boots, in a related category such as beauty, healthcare, or cosmetics.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Driven, self-motivated, and well-organized with the ability to work independently.
  • Proactive and opportunistic, adept at identifying and leveraging opportunities.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinker, able to make data-driven decisions.
  • Creative problem-solver who balances business objectives with key account needs.
  • Excellent team player with strong coordination skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for commercial data analysis and sales presentations.
