Are you an organised, detail-oriented individual looking to make a meaningful contribution to a dynamic Private Client division? We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team and provide top-tier support, ensuring tasks are completed to the highest standard while adhering to firm policies and guidelines. Role Overview: As a key part of the Private Client team, you will handle a range of administrative tasks, from managing new client enquiries and updating databases to ensuring seamless communication with clients. You will assist in managing wills, LPAs (Lasting Powers of Attorney), and other important legal documents, helping to maintain our exceptional client service standards. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow in a professional, fast-paced environment while contributing to a firm with a strong focus on excellence. Key Responsibilities: * Handle new client enquiries via phone or in person, and assist with client communications. * Maintain and update the LPA and Will database, and handle the storage of wills and LPAs. * Assist with document management, including scanning, filing, and allocating post to the correct files. * Support with basic drafting of legal documents and conduct due diligence as required. * Assist with diary management, client continuity, and appointment preparation, including file opening and engrossing of wills/deeds. * Help chase clients for payment of costs/disbursements where appropriate. * Undertake any additional administrative duties to support the fee earners and the wider team. What We’re Looking For: * Strong literacy and numeracy skills. * Previous experience in data entry, text processing, and IT systems, especially Microsoft Office. * Experience working in a team environment, with a proactive attitude and ability to use initiative. * Excellent communication skills, including a professional telephone manner and the ability to interact comfortably with clients. * Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask. * A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to GDPR regulations.
