Commercial Manager (Sales, Procurement, Finance)

With a robust growth trajectory since their founding, their team has expanded to over 100, achieving an annual turnover in excess of £40m
Position Overview: They are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Manager to join their dynamic commercial team. This role is crucial in managing pricing strategies, product availability, and business bids, ensuring their offerings remain competitive and aligned with market demands.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage pricing strategies that balance customer attraction with cost coverage.
- Ensure product lists are seasonally appropriate and aligned with availability.
- Lead efforts to win and retain business through effective bid management.
- Collaborate with sales, customer service, operations, and buying teams
- Partner with the Managing Directors to achieve budgeted gross margins.
- Monitor customer sales trends, identifying opportunities for growth.
- Oversee the profitability and competitiveness of our prepared food division.
- Manage a commercial administrator.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a related role.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills, with a knack for creative problem-solving.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment.
- A proactive, self-starting attitude with a passion for driving results.
- A love for food is advantageous but not essential.
