An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Data Coordinator to join our Customer Services Team. As a dedicated Data Coordinator, you will be an integral part of achieving this, while always striving to keep our customers’ power flowing. You will be responsible for coordinating all record updates associated with Capex and Opex work at all voltages including data adopted from ICP`s and IDNO`s. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all asset updates are received into the business on a timely basis and are of a satisfactory quality to meet our regulatory and statutory requirements prior to the updating of our corporate asset management systems.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

• Ensure the coordination of all asset data site records associated with the creation, removal and updating of Northern Powergrid` s assets in the corporate asset management systems

• Ensure all new asset changes associated with the Operations business unit including their service provides are received from site

• Audit and quantify the data received from site

• Manage and log the data using Microsoft and business specific applications and systems

• Liaise directly with Northern Powergrid project managers and service providers to obtain information and address quality assurance concerns and assist with any training requirements

• Ensure our off-shore partner Cyient receives good quality data in a timely manner

• Support and advise Cyient on data management matters


Key Competencies

• Quality Control – ensures data received from site meets minimum requirements

• Interpreting Information – coordinate data associated with the build, maintenance and repair of assets. • Time Management – ensure data is received from third parties and the asset systems are updated within the required timescales.

• Team working – ability to work solo and part of a cross functional team

• Communication – good communication skills required to be able to liaise with field staff field supervisors and managers, service providers, design engineers, project engineers and administration support.

• Confident dealing with customer ‘no supply’ calls during periods of Tier 2 call overflow. Qualifications and Attributes Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum qualification of 2 A-Levels C or above OR NVQ Level 3 OR ONC in Business Management

• A good understanding of the assets owned and maintained by Northern Powergrid and how electrical distribution networks operate

• Computer literate in Microsoft applications

• Good Communication skills

• Good time management skills

• Good at problem solving and decision making

• Ability to work solo or as part of a team Desirable Qualifications and Experience

• GIS Qualification

• Knowledge of Northern Powergrid’s existing asset management systems e.g., AMS, NMS applications and WACS / Spatial

• Knowledge of how the electricity network operates

• Quality auditing

• Working in an office environment
