As an Account Manager you will play an important role in implementing our clients’ objectives across one of GPJ’s key accounts. Supporting the B2B Pillar Account Director, you will ensure consistency across the B2B portfolio of events, acting as the lynchpin between the PMO (Programme Management Office) and regional execution teams.
You will play an integral part in championing the DP World Account expertise within the business, in addition to providing excellent service to our clients, ensuring commercial success for GPJ. Overarching Responsibilities
Ensures delivery teams are briefed correctly on client specific expectations to ensure maximum efficiency in client communications
Takes accountability for the client ask, ensuring production and creative teams are fulfilling the brief
Championing of account specific processes and monitoring B2B project progress, ensuring all delivery teams are aware of client deadlines and escalations and any relevant milestones
Shares learnings and best practise (from an account and client perspective) across the B2B portfolio
Operational Delivery
Management of any required tasks within finance system, including project set up and intercompany PO's
Partners with GPJ Operations and Finance departments to ensure entity invoicing is completed within agreed timeframes
Schedules project briefings to the relevant departments and check ins with delivery teams to check on progress
Centrally tracks all B2B event debriefs, reviews to ensure alignment with other B2B events and to ensure the client’s feedback has been fully captured
Shares learnings and best practise (from an account and client perspective) across the B2B portfolio
Project Delivery
Responsible for making sure they are updated by delivery teams to ensure programmes are on track, providing regular status updates to the client
Partner with IP team in overseeing the development and management of budgets, including post event reconciliation
Ensure projects are delivered to a quality in line with client expectations
Briefing creative and strategy teams on project requirements and ensuring that the output from these teams falls within overall project timeline
Ensure correct guidelines are used within the projects (creative, strategic, digital)
Status reporting to B2B Account Director
Creative
For the projects you account manage, support the project cycle to ensure the creative and innovative ideas fulfil the client brief
Liaise between the Programme Management Office Creative Project Manager, Business Process Manager and project producers to support scheduling of projects and deadlines - for all projects in the business vertical globally.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of the creative process, recognising the importance of the strategic objectives and ensuring they drive the overall output
Attend key creative meetings to provide input / expertise related to production elements within your remit
Talent Management
Understand and be able to communicate knowledge of the skill sets and abilities across the Integrated Production department
Demonstrate leadership attributes by supporting positive change, managing your workload, and striving for best practice
Ability to clearly communicate performance expectations to direct reports and line managers
Ability to nurture, grow and develop an account team
Drive, support and champion learning and development where agreed and necessary
Client Relationships
Providing key project updates to clients via a mixture of different channels
Partner with B2B Account Director to provide counsel on deliverables, managing client expectations accordingly
Collaborate with B2B Account Director to ensure we successfully meet the clients’ objectives and deliver great results
Drive cross-agency collaboration to ensure an aligned approach for meeting client objectives
You demonstrate concern for satisfying external and/or
internal clients
You focus always on the end clients, ensure that response times and service are at the forefront of customer interactions, via technology or human touch points
You provide superior client service by prioritising personal interactions (verbal or face-face) with our clients on a regular cadence
Develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with others inside and outside the client organisation
Business Development
Assist Account Lead with managing sales forecast and account plan, providing insights and areas for growth and development
Assist Account Lead with bi- annual reporting
Identify opportunities for growth
Shall be involved in the development of an annual account plan
Finance
Ensure projects are consistently on brief, on time and on budget
Accountable for Intercompany PO creation / distribution
Ensure you adhere to timely and accurate management of budget reconciliations (often across multiple currencies)
Resource allocation reporting (ensuring profit is being made as forecasted)
Knowledge of change order management

2-4 years experience, events agency preferred
University Degree, preferred Marketing/Advertising/Event Management/Business Administration, Hospitality, Communications, or related field
Your Background, Skills & Experience
Ability to juggle multiple project simultaneously and support several internal GPJ resources
Excellent client relationship management skills
Knowledge of the role of events and brand experiences in a broader business context to aid the development of relationships with clients from supplier to business partner
Experience in developing budgets and timelines
Experience of working within a large project team, ability to lead on a particular workstream
Experience in exhibitions and digital events
Experience of responding and delivering to clients with digital, social media or tech solutions
Good presentation skills
Strong understanding of financial software
