Data Platform Engineer (hybrid or remote)

Job Title: Data Platform Engineer Location: London, UK Hybrid Contract Data Management Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of data management concepts. Data Catalog Experience: Hands-on experience with data catalog tools such as Alation, Collibra, or similar platforms. Python Scripting Skills: Proficient in Python scripting. Data Platform Exposure: Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms like Snowflake, Databricks, Redshift, or S3. Data Quality Tools: Knowledge of data quality tooling and practices. Solid understanding of relational databases and metadata models. Code Reviews & Quality Assurance: Conduct comprehensive code reviews, oversee quality assurance processes, optimize performance, and implement best practices and coding standards to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects. Process Compliance: Ensure process compliance within the assigned module and participate in technical discussions or act as a consultant for feasibility studies, technical alternatives, and risk assessment. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables. Prepare and submit status reports to minimize exposure to risks and ensure the closure of escalations.
