Gas Operations Business Analyst: Endur: World Energy Co: 6-12 Month Contract

Exciting opportunity for a Gas Trading Operations Business Analyst with strong Endur experience to join this global Energy company for a 6 month initial contract. (Umbrella Day Rate)

This is a fantastic opportunity for you as an experienced gas trading Business Analyst to expand your knowledge and be part of strategic projects and continuous IT excellence that transforms the business.

As a Business Analyst, you will support the Energy business working in projects for Trading focusing on Gas trading activities. So Gas Operations experience is a MUST HAVE.

Your role will vary depending on your project(s);

•Translate business requirements into functionality and assess the risks, feasibility, opportunities, and business impacts of various solution options.

•Outline the scope of IT delivery and provide a high-level solution design.

•Responsible for Gas Ops System configuration and process improvement.

•Assess and model processes, data flows, and technology to understand the current value and issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.

•Propose designs / solutions which contribute to project delivery performance and co-ordinate input to devise project test strategy

•Take responsibility for training colleagues on business process flow.

•Interact with multiple IT delivery partners to understand software limitations, deliver application designs, and ensure that business requirements, use cases are handled in Agile manner.

The Candidate:

•Experience of energy trading markets, with a strong understanding of UK and European Gas markets

•Proficient Technical knowledge including Databases, SQL, VBA, Python

•A working knowledge of different trading instruments, including:

•Hands-on experience with ETRM Systems, particularly Endur.

•Detailed knowledge of at least one of the following functional areas:

o Front Office - complex deal modelling, pricing, P&L and exposure management

o Middle Office - Market Risk and Risk Valuation

o Back-Office – Confirmations and Settlements processes and/or accounting processes

•Track record of end-to-end project lifecycle delivery as a BA

•Experience working in Agile project Delivery
