OFTEC Heating & Plumbing Engineer

Main duties to include, but not limited to, the following types of work:- * Heating & plumbing maintenance & installation works * Work in domestic & commercial properties * Carrying out annual boiler servicing * Attending planned and un-planned urgent calls * Fault finding & repair work to boilers, systems and controls * Boiler replacements & heating system upgrades * Hot water cylinder replacements & vented to unvented system upgrades You will need to be able to: * Work independently & with other Team members when required * Start and complete urgent jobs as requested with minimal notice * Be willing to work overtime when required to complete urgent jobs * Understand, deal with & resolve problems as described by the customer * Ensure work is carried out efficiently & to give customer’s peace of mind * Be eager to learn & willing to go the extra mile Work should be carried out to the highest standard, whilst ensuring customers’ requirements and regulations are met. Overcoming any problems that may arise during the job. The customers’ property should be treated with the highest most respect, at all times, laying dust sheets around work areas and wearing shoe covers where required. Ensuring work areas are as clean on completion, as they were before you started. Requirements, Qualifications & Experience * Plumbing & Heating Advanced NVQ Level 3 Diploma (or similar) * OFTEC 101, 102 & 105E * Unvented Cylinders * Gas qualifications desirable * Minimum 5 years’ experience in maintenance & installation work * Live within 15 miles of Guildford Benefits * Minimum 40 hours per week * Weekdays & Saturday Overtime at 1.5x standard pay * Sunday & Bank Holidays Overtime at 2x standard pay * Weekend on call (approx. every 4-6 weeks) with standby fee * 30 days paid holiday (Inc. usual bank holidays) * 1 extra holiday for every five years of continual service * NHS Top-Up plan to get money back for eligible treatments * Company van, available for private use (charged per mile) * PPE, uniform and mobile phone provided * Training provided for on-going and new upskill courses
