Teacher Active is proud to be working with an excellent Derbyshire School that is looking for a passionate and driven Early Years Phase Leader that has leadership experience, or is looking to take the next step in their career. The successful Phase Leader will be expected to undertake all the usual professional duties of a teacher as well as assisting the Senior Leadership Team and Head of School in developing and managing the Early Years of the school whilst demonstrating the ethos, commitments and policies of the school. You'd be expected to drive and maintain the ethos and foundations of the school through personal conduct and effective relationships with both staff and pupils. Duties and Responsibilities of the Early Years Phase Leader role will include: Work as part of the Leadership Team to develop and maintain the ethos of the whole school Inspire, motivate and provide purposeful leadership of their Phase Undertake a teaching commitment as directed by the Head of School To raise standards in teaching and learning in their Phase To monitor pupil progress across the Phase, analyse data and report to senior leaders, staff and Governors Design effective action plans with their phase based on monitoring findings and data analysis;  work with the Head of School and members of the SLT assessment leader in managing pupil assessments within their Phase, including moderation Assist the Head of School and Senior Leadership Team in developing, implementing and monitoring the School Improvement Plan Lead School Improvement initiatives Support the Senior Leadership Team in maintaining good order in the classroom and around the school with due regard to the school's policy on behaviour and control of bullying Assist in the positive implementation of the equal opportunities policy within the school Safeguard the health and safety of self and others in accordance with the school's Health and Safety Policy Desired Characteristics Demonstrate that you are an effective professional who challenges and supports all pupils to do their best Inspire trust and confidence Build team commitment Engage and motivate pupils Demonstrate the schools' values Analytical, positive thinking to improve the quality of pupils' learning In return for the above you can expect to receive: A dedicated team of consultants available 24/7 to help you with the easy onboarding process Guaranteed Payment Scheme *Terms and Conditions apply* CPD Courses and certificates as part of the My-Progression channel Market leading rates of pay Teacher Active Referral Scheme – Receive up to £200 when you refer a friend *Terms and Conditions apply* Our staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you’re paying the right level of TAX and National Insurance and there’s no messing around with admin charges coming out of your hard earned cash.
