The Opportunity Due to continuing growth within the organisation, we are seeking to expand our Civils Team offering by employing dedicated resources in this area. Working with a high performing, service-oriented, collaborative team. We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to join the London Office. This is an exciting time for Robert Bird Group, as we go through continual expansion and have a full portfolio of landmark buildings and infrastructure projects which presents an opportunity for someone looking to further their career within a thriving engineering consultancy. Duties Undertaking preliminary and detailed design, including preparing specifications, of Civil Engineering projects including (all competencies are not required for every position): Highways Geometric and Drainage design, Flood risk assessments, Surface water and foul sewer design, Basement drainage systems including under slab drainage to building Regulations, Retention basins, attenuation tanks and other SuDS features for both design and implementation Using tools to measure and actively reduce carbon output on all our projects Proactively and ethically motivating and leading project teams to deliver superior outcomes Collecting, preparing and compiling of fee projections for the UK business. Supporting the career planning and training of more junior team members Supervising other colleagues under your direction and offering pro-active advice in relation to problem solving issues.
