#### Job Title: Senior Mechanical Fitter / Supervisor
The Senior Mechanical Fitter will primarily handle subcontract packages and supervise domestic alterations. Responsibilities include updating the Health & Safety file, which is estimated to take about an hour and a half each day.
#### Mandatory Qualifications:
- NVQ Level 2-3 in Mechanical Engineering, Plumbing and Heating, or HVAC
- SSSTS (Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme) or SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)
#### Experience:
The ideal Senior Mechanical Fitter will have extensive experience in UK pipework systems, including:
- Copper, steel, stainless steel, and plastic systems
- Gas, water, and drainage systems
#### Desirable Expertise:
- **Medical Gas**: Proficiency in the installation and maintenance of medical gas systems
- **BMS (Building Management Systems)**: Strong understanding of mechanical systems integration with BMS
- **Ductwork and Air Conditioning**: Knowledge of system interactions with mechanical installations
#### Key Skills & Abilities:
- Effective liaison with clients, subcontractors, and site managers to ensure smooth project execution
- The supervisor will need to have an awareness of the subcontract packages happening around them . Necessary guidance can be provided to bring up to speed.
- Experience working alongside other trades for integrated project delivery
- Skilled in interpreting technical drawings and collaborating with CAD teams for accurate on-site work
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and in a team
- Excellent communication, both verbal and written
