Were seeking a talented SENDCo for a one-year maternity cover to join a thriving school community. This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled teacher who is ready to embrace greater responsibility and leadership in a supportive environment.

About the Role:

As our SENDCo, you will lead and manage provision for students with special educational needs and disabilities across KS3 and KS4, ensuring they receive the best possible support to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This is your chance to work in a school that values inclusivity and innovation, where youll be at the forefront of shaping our SEND strategy.

What Were Looking For:

  • Experience: You are an experienced teacher (QTS essential) who has worked closely with students with SEND needs and understands the impact of personalised support on learning outcomes.
  • Passion for SEND: Youre committed to fostering an inclusive learning environment and have a strong understanding of SEND legislation, including the EHCP process and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Leadership Skills: Youre ready to step into a leadership role, coordinating provision and working closely with staff, external agencies, and families to ensure all students receive the support they need.
  • Excellent Communication: You can engage with students, parents, and staff with empathy and clarity, and youre confident in delivering training to colleagues to build whole-school SEND awareness.
  • Organisation & Strategy: Youll need excellent organisational skills to manage SEND documentation, funding applications, and to track student progress effectively.
