The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Irlam area. We are looking for a dedicated Class 2 Driver (CAT C) to join the team.
Hours: Monday to Friday, start times between 4am and 6am (8-10 hour shifts).
Pay Rates: 15.00 per hour PAYE.
Location: Irlam, M44.
Job Type: Ongoing position with the opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
Deliver carpets and flooring to commercial and residential properties within the local area.
Complete up to 25 drops per day, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Conduct thorough vehicle checks before and after each shift.
Utilise electronic Proof of Delivery (POD) systems to confirm successful deliveries.
Perform intense manual handling, including loading and unloading heavy items.
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanour while interacting with customers.
Report any issues with deliveries or vehicle maintenance promptly.
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
Full understanding of WTD legislation.
Excellent communication skills.
A safety-first mindset.
Ability to lift heavy items and handle physical tasks effectively.
Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
