Senior Stock Controller

We are actively looking to engage stock management, inventory and warehousing professionals with a passion for stock & inventory control for a new role as a Senior Stock Controller in Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire! Client Details Our client is a market-leading aerospace & automotive manufacturing business with around 15 production facilities across Europe and Asia. You will be joining a fast-paced environment in a mixed production and distribution plant with circa 12,000 SKU's and 370 colleagues within the site. Job Description As a Senior Stock Controller you will report into the Logistics & Warehouse Planning Manager on a daily basis and will be responsible for the following areas of responsibility within the Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire. * Analyse, monitor and maintain accurate inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts and reconciling any discrepancies. * Coordinate with purchasing department to ensure timely and accurate replenishment of stock, avoiding stock shortages and overstock situations. * Implement and maintain efficient inventory control procedures, including stock rotation, first-in-first-out (FIFO) principles, and proper storage practices. * Investigate stock lost and stock inaccuracies within the site, along with conducting cycle and PI counts. * Monitor and track slow-moving or obsolete stock and propose appropriate actions, such as promotional activities or write-offs, to minimise financial loss. The Ideal Candidate The successful candidate will have an expansive background in warehousing, stock and inventory operations and will have the following skills & experience: * 2+ years' experience in an inventory / stock role within a warehousing and/or production facility. * Experienced managing stock analysis, PI counts and inventory analysis. * History of managing SKU counts in excess of 2,000 across a multi-site operation. * Desirable experience within the manufacturing space within aerospace, automotive etc. * Desirable - SAP and/or Manhattan WMS experience. * Commutable to Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire.
