Senior Principal DesignerOur OpportunityPick Everard are searching for a knowledgeable,  technically minded Senior Principal Designer, to join our flourishing Health and Safety Team in Bristol. We have introduced this role to respond to and align with Building Safety requirements and recognize the importance of the role played by the Principal Designer. As a leading, national, multi-disciplinary consultancy, we want to be able to continue to deliver excellence for our clients across sectors. We work on a diverse range of projects including education, healthcare, blue light, commercial, residential, defence, infrastructure and more.  This is a perfect role for an individual wanting to take a step up in the Health and Safety space, acting with more leadership and autonomy, whilst still receiving support from a dedicated team.  As a Senior Principal Designer, you will be responsible for:   Managing design safety, coordinating design risks and managing the design team to ensure compliance with  relevant legislation and codes of practice are met.  Blending technical requirements with leadership skills to influence the design, contribute to the design and be an essential part of the project team. Holding relevant technical qualifications along with a sound understanding of safety in construction and the built environment. Supporting clients in the collation of pre-construction information and providing H&S advice as well as supporting and challenging the design team in designing out risks.  Taking the lead in reporting to the client actions taken during the design stage and advising on the best solutions. Engaging with the contractor to coordinate design information and manage any change to the design as the project progresses. Reporting any matters that fall under the mandatory occurrence reporting and to be the liaison with Building Control Authorities.  Keen to take that next step up in your career?
