Lead Cloud Engineer 6 months Hybrid - mainly remote with occasional travel to the offices Havant/Reading/Perth £650 per day, Inside IR35 Role Description Our client is looking for an IT Lead Cloud Engineer for their Cloud Platform Services Team. They are wanting to build and deliver a new event-based architecture for integration and reporting within the business. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, able to undertake technical leadership and coordination of the technical development work. Key Accountabilities • Deliver backlog of items as part of a DevOps team. • Design of overall solution including data highway, support/monitoring, producer adapters, consumer adapters. • Build high quality software that complies with coding standards. • Overseeing development work and peer reviewing. • Accountable for operational activities within the team • Setting standards and practices for the event hub and consumer/producer event based nodes/adapters. • Provide support and mentorship to other members of the team Experience Energy industry particularly GB Gas and Power leading integration design using Azure Events Hubs, Kafka developing general solutions in the Energy industry developing integration solutions Must Have: C#.NET 7, Entity Framework, Microsoft ADO, SQL Server, Oracle DB, containers, event driven architecture, Kafka, Event Hubs, DevOps, CI/CD, Terraform, Automated Tests Good to have .NET 8, ASP.NET Blazor, MongoDB, Kubernetes, Open Telemetry, Datadog, Promethius, Grafana Does this sound like you?
