Year 2 Teaching Assistant 1:1Year 2 1:1 TAYour new companyHays Recruitment are working in partnership with a primary school in Liverpool that is easily accessible via public transport as they are looking for a motivated and reliable teaching assistant to support a student in year 2 on a 1:1 basis. This is a long-term role that will last until the end of the academic year with a chance to be extended next academic year. Your new roleIn your new role as a 1:1 teaching assistant you will be supporting a year 2 student on a 1:1 basis throughout the school day. You will be this childs main point of contact, meeting them at the school gate and walking them back to their parents/guardians at the end of the school day. You will support them with 1:1 and booster sessions in core subjects as required, ensure that learning material is inclusive and accessible for them, and effectively manage their behaviours by using de-escalation, distraction and taking them out of the classroom as required as they can present behaviours that challenge. You will promote their engagement during lessons by building a strong constructive relationship with them and liaising with the SENCO and class teacher on their progress.
