Job Title: Senior Cloud Accountant Location: Blackburn Salary: £32,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience) Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Company: A forward-thinking accountancy practice in Blackburn is looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Accountant to join their innovative and tech-driven team. This role is ideal for an accountant with strong cloud accounting experience who is keen to work with a diverse portfolio of clients, implementing and managing cloud-based financial systems. The firm is committed to providing excellent client service while embracing modern technology to streamline accounting processes. The Role: As a Senior Cloud Accountant, you will manage a portfolio of clients, providing them with expert advice on cloud accounting solutions. You will work closely with clients to implement cloud-based accounting software, manage their financial data, and deliver key insights to help them grow their businesses. Key Responsibilities: Managing a portfolio of clients, advising on cloud accounting system Xero. Implementing and optimising cloud accounting software for clients, including training and ongoing support. Preparing management accounts, VAT returns, and financial reports using cloud-based software. Providing clients with real-time financial insights and advice to support business decision-making. Conducting regular reviews of clients' accounting processes and recommending improvements. Ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations and filing deadlines. Assisting with the onboarding of new clients to cloud-based platforms. Supporting junior team members in the use of cloud accounting software and ensuring high-quality output. Keeping up to date with developments in cloud technology and accounting regulations. Collaborating with other departments to provide a seamless service for clients. Requirements: ACA/ACCA/AAT qualified (or QBE) with strong cloud accounting experience. Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with cloud accounting platform Xero. Proven ability to manage a portfolio of clients and provide high-quality service. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to train and support clients in the use of cloud software. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and tasks. Ability to provide real-time financial insights and business advice using cloud data. A passion for technology and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Experience in managing junior staff and reviewing their work is an advantage.
