The role The Trade Union Marketing Manager will play an important role in defining and building bespoke marketing support for our TU customers. Working alongside the Regional Manager’s, the Marketing Manager will help develop the marketing approach, compelling propositions and marketing materials (online and offline), to support the needs of this audience. The role holder will also support the wider team with events and partnershipsSome of your responsibilities will include:Be an advocate for the customer; understanding their needs to help drive marketing strategy, business prioritisation and develop the Union proposition. Look to obtain additional customer feedback at every opportunity. Develop bespoke marketing plans and ensure customer need is reflected in the planning and execution of all our marketing efforts. Understand the role and requirements of online and offline marketing to this audiences and tailor our strategies accordingly.Use customer insights and needs to develop meaningful and useful content for the Union Hub within Unity.Co.Uk. Use data and website statistics to understand how customers currently interact with us; measuring the effectiveness of changes introduced. Work with the Regional Managers to build relationships with TU marketing teams; defining new channels for communications and building relationships. Work with the Social and Content Manager to devise webinars and content that resonate with our target audiences.Work with the Regional Managers to develop (and run) breakfast meetings / events that build customer understanding and loyalty. Help plan and deliver our events calendar supporting the marketing team in the planning and delivery of events materials and ensuring that we get maximum effectiveness from events that we attend.Assess the suitability of partnership opportunities that are presented to the Bank, and support deliver of required materials. Support the marketing team with additional ad hoc requests and activity.Able to follow brand guidelines, visual identity, tone of voice. Proof reading, formatting and updating documents, preparing documents for approval, ensuring correct authority has been obtained. Monitor industry trends and relevant news to identify opportunities for content creation and community engagement. The person We are keen to hear from experienced Marketing Managers who can work collaboratively and have the following skills: Professional qualificationsIDM Digital Marketing (not essential) Knowledge requirementsEssential:Proven experience in B2B marketing, preferably in financial services or regulated industry.Demonstrate experience of building strong relationships internally, with third party suppliers and other customers.Previous experience of developing bespoke/ tiered marketing campaignsStrong writing and editorial skills, with the ability to create engaging and informative content for different audiences. Excellent organisational skills.Excellent communication and relationship building skills, with experience working collaboratively with other teams.Flexible and adaptable to change.Detail conscious, analytical in reviewing costs and able to reach decisions using commercial judgement.Influencing and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Knowledge of the principles of SEO A passion for being the customer voice within an organisationDesirable:Experience within financial services or regulated industryExperience of managing third party suppliersAccount Based Marketing Experience The role will be Birmingham based.
