Operations Manager

Job Title: Operations Manager Location: Greater London Salary: c£60,000k DOE plus benefits Creative Food manufacturer with a rich history and a real emphasis on strategic planning and productivity. They are now looking to recruit an ambitious Operations Manager or an experienced Production Manager to manage 3 different departments across the factory. Please note, you will need to have Food Manufacturing experience in order to apply. The Candidate: * Proven Leadership skills in a Food Manufacturing environment, preferably with experience of managing engineering and/or maintenance as well as operations. * Comfortable with ambiguity as no two days look the same in this business. * Track record of delivering strategic projects inline with KPIs, so this could be waste reduction, cost savings against labour, increasing equipment efficiency etc. * Capable of working cross functionally and bringing departments together. * Having the ability to manage costs at a higher level by having sight of and understanding business profit & loss. * Effective communicator with all stakeholders, both internally and externally. * Ability to deal with complexity and change, prioritise effectively, and deliver within short timescales, * Analytical mindset, looking for opportunities to improve current practices. The Role: * As the Operations Manager you will have direct responsibility for the day to day running of the plant and facilities. * You will have direct responsibility for the hygiene operatives, a small team of engineers and the packaging & production operatives. * You will develop and maintain a continuous improvement culture, driving operational efficiencies, and identifying and implementing improvements to working practices to improve efficiency, performance and reliability. * As the Operations Manager, you will report directly into the Head of. * Ensure all food products are manufactured to the required product safety and quality standards, safely and on time. * Managing costs and spends across the factory. * Set performance goals, conduct performance evaluations, and provide feedback to enhance employee productivity and morale. The Business: * Having seen the site ourselves its clear that they have a very honest and open culture. The teams on the factory floor were very friendly and would stop and chat with the MD and I as we were walking around. * There are visual improvements to be made against KPIs, so you won’t be bored. * The factory is made to a very high standard with state-of-the-art equipment, open plan office spaces and plenty of parking space.
