Veterinary Surgeon

Our client is a corporately owned practice is looking for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon to join their team.

The Role:

This position is 40 hours a week across of 4 days with a shared 1 in 3 Saturday rota, with no Sundays. There are no OOHs or On-call to allow for a great Work/Life Balance. You will have one fixed weekday off each week, and the rota's are planned a full year in advance.

You will be joining a team consisting of 2 full time vets, 4 RVNs, 1 VCA, 1 Practice Manager/Practice Owner and 4 Receptionists; 4 of the team have been with the practice for over 5 years, with one being a part of the team since the practice opened.

The team is also supported by two further off-site clinical practice owners and four sister surgery clinical teams, totalling approximately 21 vets.

The practice was opened in 2016 and currently has an active client base of approximately 3000, with a heavy surgical load, therefore the team are looking for someone with both excellent consulting skills and is experienced and looking for a role allowing more surgical days.

They have an active client base that is split 67% canine, 27% feline and less than 6% rabbit and exotic.

The practice also runs on a combination of 15 & 30 minute appointments and you will have at least 3 mornings a week of surgery time. There is also set admin time throughout the day that allows for the majority of lunch hours and work day finished on time.

The Package:

Salary up to £65,000

• CPD budget of £1,750, plus 5 paid CPD days
