Ballycommin is seeking an experienced Earthworks Foreman/Supervisor to join our team for an immediate start on a project in Cambridge. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in earthworks and civil engineering, with the ability to manage a team and ensure the smooth running of the site. You will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of earthworks projects, ensuring that work is completed safely, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities: * Scheduling: Planning and managing work schedules and shifts to ensure optimal progress. * Coordination: Supervising and coordinating the activities of all operatives on-site to ensure smooth project execution. * Communication: Acting as the main point of contact for all on-site teams, ensuring clear and effective communication between all parties involved. * Supervision: Overseeing the completion of all tasks, ensuring that work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in line with the project plan. * Quality Control: Ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards, meeting the project’s quality requirements. * Equipment and Materials: Managing the procurement, distribution, and maintenance of all equipment and materials needed for the project. * Reporting: Regularly updating the client and project manager on progress, issues, and any deviations from the plan. * Technical Guidance: Providing technical support and guidance to the on-site team, ensuring that best practices are followed. Key Requirements: * SSSTS or SMSTS Certification: Essential for ensuring safety management on-site. * CSCS Card: A valid CSCS card is mandatory. * Relevant Earthworks Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, particularly in the earthworks sector. * Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively. * Knowledge of Health & Safety: Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices. * Problem-Solving Abilities: Ability to address issues quickly and ensure the smooth running of the project. * Excellent Communication: Strong communication skills to keep both the team and client informed at all times. * Driving Licence: A valid driving licence is preferred.
