Support Worker

Location: Nottinghamshire  Position: Full-Time Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:15 AM - 3:30 PM Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with complex needs? Smile Education are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Support Worker to join their client SEND school after the half term break. In this rewarding role, you will provide essential support and guidance to children, helping them thrive in a nurturing environment. As a classroom Support Worker, you will support children with complex needs in their daily activities, fostering a positive and inclusive atmosphere that encourages independence and social interaction. You will collaborate with teachers and other professionals to develop tailored support plans, monitor and document children’s progress, and adapt strategies as needed. Providing emotional and behavioural support will be crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of each child. We are looking for candidates with previous experience working with children, particularly those with complex needs. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential, along with patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children. The ability to work effectively as part of a team is also important, and relevant qualifications in childcare or related fields are an advantage.
