We require a Secondary Teaching Assistant whowill support the learning needs of students who require assistance in accessingthe curriculum or who need additional challenge in order to extend theirlearning.WrenAcademy Enfield is the second school of the Wren Academies Trust. Having successfully opened in September 2021with a first cohort of Year 7 students.Wren Academy Enfield is jointly sponsored by the London Diocesan Boardfor Schools and Berkhamsted School. Thisnew school has been closely modelled on the successful Wren Academy Finchleywhich has a strong sporting tradition with high standards of involvement andconduct.WrenAcademy Finchley quickly developed a strong reputation for outstanding teachingand learning, as well as enabling students to make excellent progress asdemonstrated by our Progress 8 figure, which places us in the top 100 schoolsnationally. Since opening, the schoolhas been awarded three outstanding Ofsteds and two outstanding SIAMsreports. All the factors that have ledto the notable success so far are being put in place to ensure similar outcomesat Wren Academy Enfield.We wish to appoint a colleague to this role who has:Excellent interpersonal skillsThe ability to work effectively as partof a teamGood organisational skillsExperience of supporting students witha range of individual needsFurther details about the roleTosupport the learning needs of students who require assistance in accessing thecurriculum or who need additional challenge in order to extend their learning.Towork with students in classroom, small group and one to one scenarios.Tocarry out administration in the Individual Needs department as directed by theHead of Department. This will includethe drafting of Personal Learning Plans.Toadminister spelling and reading tests and other assessments and to invigilatein examinations as directed by the Head of Department.Toliaise with the educational psychologist, external agencies and teaching staffregarding programmes for individual children.Tosupport students in their work with outside agencies (e.g. during visits fromthe speech therapist).Tocarry out behavioural programmes as directed by the Head of Department.Tomaintain records of work done by individual students and report to the Head ofDepartment on progress in line with Academy systems.Toplay a full part in the activities of the Individual Needs department andattend meetings needed to review students' progress as required.Toliaise with parents as appropriate.Totake part in the Academy's staff duty rota.Totake part in the Academy's enrichment programme.Toassist in the organisation of teaching resources and display materials.AssessmentTocontinue personal development as agreed in performance management.Toengage actively in the performance review process.Toaddress the performance management targets set by the line manager.Tooversee staff performance management and training and to maintain trainingrecords.Toplay a full part in the life of the Academy community, to support itsdistinctive aim, ethos and policies, and to encourage staff and students tofollow this example.Tosupport the Academy in meeting its legal requirements as a Church School.Tohave a record of excellent health, attendance and punctuality.Commitment to safeguardingOur organisation is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
