This role is pivotal in delivering a top-tier procurement service that balances cost, quality, and environmental impact. The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of the organisation's procurement and supply chain strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and sustainability goals.Job Title: Head of Strategic Procurement Location: Plymouth, Devon (Hybrid, up to 3 days onsite) Salary: £71,026 per annumKey Responsibilities:Develop and implement the organisation's Supply Chain Strategy, ensuring compliance with UK procurement regulations and a focus on Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) commitments.Oversee supplier engagement, contract management, and governance to ensure cost efficiency and compliance across all procurement activities.Lead strategic negotiations on high-value and high-risk contracts, ensuring value for money while aligning with organisational objectives.Collaborate with internal teams and external partners, including suppliers and stakeholders, to enhance procurement processes and align with the business plan.Provide leadership to the procurement team, ensuring continuous development, training, and mentor ship.
