Virtualisation Engineer - £55,000 – Stoke

My client, a leading MSP based in Stoke are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join their growing team. They are at the forefront of technology and are looking to use a large round of investment to bring in top talent to their ranks.

The Role

• You will be expected to handle the implementation and management of VM’s, Networks and Storage within a virtual environment.
• In this position, you will design and deploy VMware and Hyper-V to meet the demands of the business.
• Carrying out regular maintenance tasks such as patches and updates to ensure the security and stability of the virtual infrastructure.
• Act as the escalation point for 2nd and 3rd line engineers for any issues related to virtualisation.
• Ensure that best practices are kept within virtual environments such as encryption and monitoring

Requirements

• Expertise in Hyper-V, VMware and vSphere.
• Cloud experience (Ideally Azure)
• A strong understanding of different virtualisation concepts, such as hypervisors, VM management and Network Virtualisation.
• Be capable in scripting and automation using Python or Powershell.
• You must have the ability to obtain UKSV SC Clearance (This means you must be a UK National or have been a resident for 5+ years.)
