The role would see you responsible for the quality and management of reference data, utilising tools such as Alteryx and python to ensure data is of the best quality, structured correctly and is flowing between the systems without issues from source to consumption. What you’ll be doingTaking ownership for oversight and management of all intra-month and month end data quality checks/exceptions including asset reference data, cashflow data quality checks using tools such Alteryx and Python (Improver)Taking responsibility for follow-through to ensure the root cause of all data quality exceptions are analysed, identified, and resolved before month endAnalysing, capturing, and sharing the outcome of the intra-month process by reporting to stakeholders the impact of the intra-month process on the month endAnalysing, capturing, and sharing the outcome of the intra-month process by reporting to stakeholders the impact of the intra-month process on the month endDriving and documenting all aspect of the process for example SOPs/Standard operation models, Ops model, sharing and filing files used in the processIdentifying potential risk in the intra-month process such as operational risk such as key man risk and mitigating themLeading, driving and proactively thinking of ways to make the process better and address challengesQualificationsGeneral Asset Management experience – understanding asset trade flows, Asset Management, and the roles they perform is desirableAn understanding of Data Quality such as accuracy, consistency, completeness and timelinessKnowledge of data quality root cause analysis and able to investigate root cause of data quality exceptions by analysing data lineage and source systemsUnderstanding of types of instruments/assets such as (Debt (Govt, Corp, M-Mkt, Muni, Mtge), Equity, Derivatives (OTC & ETD), Currency)Knowledge of Asset Data including reference, cashflow, positions, counterparty etc.Technical – use of Excel to intermediate level – preferably moving towards advancedDemonstrated experience of SQL for basic queriesRelationship Management – experience of dealing with and manging client’s expectationsAdditional InformationLegal & General is a leading financial services group and major global investor, named Britain’s Most Admired Company in 2023, for the second year running.
