Xoserve maintains accountability for the delivery of the Data Services Contract for the industry, which is delivered by a key outsourced service provider.Project Trident is a significant project of work to modernize the platform we use to connect the complex information, technology and communications systems that are essential to the successful competitive retail gas market in Britain and we have some great opportunities to join us at Xoserve.About the jobReporting to the Business Architect, the Business Analyst will provide the analysis and development skills that support change initiatives, projects & programmes within Xoserve. As a Business Analyst, you will be required to work across the business, with partners and also external stakeholders to deliver required analysis artefacts to a wide range of customers.The Business Analyst will be responsible for assuring the quality and compliance to the adopted standards of the artefacts developed within the initiative, projects & programmes that they may be assigned.Role AccountabilitiesResponsible for eliciting, documenting and communicating business requirements.Supporting Xoserve / external customers in the identification and evolvement of business requirements.Manage and /or conduct analysis and translate business requirements into appropriate models.Perform quality assurance of analysis artefacts produced against standards & methods adopted within Xoserve.Create necessary governance / project documentation.Ensure requirements are aligned with business objectives.Proactively drive ‘Continuous Improvement’ ideas and the adoption of ‘Best Practice’ within BICC & across business analysis activities within Xoserve.Ability to understand & utilise process models in ‘As Is’ / ‘To Be’ analysis.Able to express complex problems / ideas in a simple and effective manner to stakeholders.Communicate with service providers / developers to ensure business requirements are fully understood.Lead the generation of solution options / recommendations at a logical level.Lead the resolution of complex requirements conflicts.Challenge compliance of requirements against business objectives / alignment to adopted business strategies.Lead the facilitation of workshops where information and / or requirements need to be identified / agreed.Lead the development of business case proposals.Interpret & support the construction of complex process and data models.Lead the provision of analysis activities for BAU, Projects or Programmes.Support the development of Business Analysts within the team, through knowledge share and practical exposure of others to own activities / analysis work.Lead in ensuring the correct approach & methodologies are utilised where any change / design activity is required to take place.Specialist/Technical Expertise Business Analysis related qualification and / or a minimum of five years’ experience working in Business Analysis related roleDemonstrable experience of analysing requirements and or process and or data, expressing their interpretation through logical approaches.Proven experience in requirement, process & data modelling methodologies and toolsetsDemonstrates ability / experience in protecting requirements against contradicting solution options.Demonstrates ability to challenge & push for both lateral and strategic thinking.What we offer: A competitive annual salary of up to £60,000 (may vary based on skills and experience)Discretionary individual bonus up to 10%Generous Pension Scheme– up to 12% employer contributionGenerous Life Assurance provision– 4 x basic salary28 days annual leave plus 8 statutory days in additionIncome protection for employee after 12 months serviceEnhanced annual leave entitlement, with opportunity to buy additional holiday each yearEnhanced family friendly policiesCommitment to provide learning & development opportunitiesAccess to contributory Private Medical Insurance for employee and family (Bupa)Health cashback plan for employee plus up to four dependent children (Medicash)24/7 virtual GP plus remote access to Physiotherapy, Mental Health Support and Medical Second Opinion (Help@Hand)Electric Vehicle Salary Sacrifice Scheme (Octopus EV)Free confidential Employee Assistance Programme (LifeWorks)A wide range of wellbeing initiatives.Fantastic range of discounts on high street retailers, grocery stores, cinema tickets, holidays and moreVolunteering hours for our local communitiesFinancial support to help cover the cost of one annual professional membership subscriptionThe Energy Industry is about to reform and change at pace, and it needs people like you to come and be part of its new design.
