Urban Designer

Location: Newcastle Upon TyneSalary: £35,000 - £45,000We are looking for a creative and talented Urban Designer to join our clients creative team. If you are passionate about shaping vibrant, sustainable places and communities, and have a keen eye for urban planning and design, we’d love to hear from you!About the Role:As an Urban Designer, you will play a key role in the design and development of urban environments, working on projects that range from large-scale masterplans to small, community-focused spaces. You’ll collaborate with architects, planners, landscape architects, and other professionals to create thoughtful, sustainable, and people-centred urban solutions.Key Responsibilities:Develop and contribute to urban masterplans, regeneration projects, and public realm designs.Work closely with clients and multidisciplinary teams to design urban spaces that are functional, sustainable, and visually engaging.Create high-quality drawings, diagrams, and visualizations to communicate design ideas and concepts.Conduct site analysis, research, and community consultations to inform design solutions.Ensure that designs meet local planning regulations, environmental goals, and project budgets.Assist in the preparation of planning applications, design reports, and presentations for stakeholders.Stay informed on the latest trends, policies, and technologies influencing urban design.What We're Looking For:Degree in Urban Design, Architecture, Planning, or a related field.A strong passion for urban design, sustainability, and creating livable cities.Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, GIS, and Adobe Creative Suite.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to express complex ideas clearly.Experience working on urban design projects, with a strong understanding of urban planning principles.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Knowledge of local planning regulations and experience in the planning application process is a plus.Creative problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to project challenges.What We Offer:Flexible working arrangements.Opportunities for professional development and career growth.A collaborative, supportive, and creative work environment.The chance to work on impactful projects that help shape the future of places and communities.If you’re ready to make an impact in the field of urban design and be part of a forward-thinking team, we want to hear from you!
