Functional Skills Tutors Wanted ! £25k - £30k dep on experience Location: Crawley or Cambridgeshire (Hybrid - Mix of Remote & Face-to-Face) Role Type: Permanent, Full-Time (Mon-Fri) Mileage: All travel to learners covered at 45p/mile for the first 10,000 miles then 25p thereafter Benefits: * 25 days holiday + bank holidays, 4-day Christmas shutdown (includes Christmas Eve and your birthday off!) * Early finish Fridays at 1 pm * Westfield Health plan (optical, dental, therapy treatments) after 1 year * Employee ownership, rewards, and recognition About the Role Join an award-winning, top-rated training provider as a Functional Skills Tutor! If you’re a Maths and English expert with a knack for delivering results, this role is for you. Your mission: to drive learner success by teaching, coaching, and supporting a caseload of learners, ensuring they meet all regulatory, quality, and funding standards. You’ll help our learners reach their full potential and achieve top outcomes! Key Responsibilities * Work closely with a talented team to create and monitor individual learning plans. * Provide coaching, teaching, and support for Functional Skills in Maths and English. * Engage learners in dynamic, online group sessions via Teams. * Collaborate with Trainer/Coaches, field-based teams, and Area Managers to reach a 75% first-time pass rate in Level 2 Functional Skills. * Track learner progress, updating records to keep learner management data accurate. * Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and assessments to enhance the learner experience. * Attend team meetings and share best practices. About You * You’re committed to fostering a learner-centered approach, actively promoting equality, diversity, and a ‘can-do’ culture. * Skilled in time management, multi-tasking, and working well under pressure. * A pro at creating and delivering engaging Maths and English lessons. * Confident using IT and knowledgeable about the apprenticeship framework.
