As a Commis Chef you will be responsible for: - Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menu - Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely manner - Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperature - Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly - Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containers - Work as part of a team to prepare food for our restaurant, bar/lounge, room service and banqueting operations - Report maintenance issues immediately to appropriate personnel (i.e., management or maintenance). Who We Are Looking For: We seek an enthusiastic, motivated individual with experience in a similar role within the hospitality or travel and tourism industry. The ideal candidate is a team player, fast learner, adaptable, and possesses exceptional attention to detail, interpersonal, and communication skills. You should be: - Proactive and reliable - Responsible and highly motivated - Skilled in effective communication with a positive outlook - Flexibility, problem-solving skills, and multi-tasking ability - Previous experience in a similar hospitality setting preferred. - Professional Cookery Qualification preferred.
