Water Technician

Job Overview: We are seeking a Water Technician to support our facilities team in maintaining water quality and ensuring the proper functioning of water systems across campus. This role involves testing water from taps, collecting samples for laboratory analysis, and performing minor maintenance tasks such as changing shower heads. The position is initially temporary with the potential for permanent placement based on performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Regularly test water from taps to ensure quality standards are met.
• Collect water samples and submit them for laboratory testing.
• Replace and maintain fixtures like shower heads and faucets.
• Assist in identifying and resolving minor plumbing issues.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to water systems.

Qualifications:

• Experience in plumbing or facilities maintenance (preferred but not required).
• Ability to follow testing protocols and accurately record data.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently.
