M&E Pre-Construction Manager/QS (Building Services)

Required: M&E Pre-Construction Manager/QS (Building Services) Location: South Devon Salary: up to £60k Other benefits: Company Vehicle, Fuel Card, 28 days holiday (including Bank Hols), Pension Scheme, Private Health Insurance & opportunities to earn bonus. Company working for: A privately owned M&E Contractor specialising in commercial and industrial projects (Education, Healthcare, Leisure, Retail and some Residential). Established for over 6 years, with 20+ staff that are encouraged to work as a team. The business are on target to turn over £5m in 2025 and are moving from small works to more larger major projects. The Role: The ideal candidate will come from a Contracting background and used to dealing with pre-contract negotiation as well as commercially leading the delivery of commercial and industrial projects up to a combined value of £2m on M&E services. To provide full pre-construction commercial support to ensure the Project Delivery team & Director are aware of all costs and contractual matters involved on the project. Whilst also providing support throughout the project. What would a typical day look like? You will be part of a team that helps design and consult on multiple projects across the business. From small works to offices, leisure centres & schools, you will be involved throughout the process. This will often include the following activities. Post tender negotiations to take a bid to contract status. Maintain contract documentation and advise on pre-tender and post contract matters. Contract review and negotiation of terms Post contract liaison with design team and clients Sub-contract negotiation and letting Cost value reconciliation reporting Programme management and evaluation Support the development of the team, including trainee members About you The Employer are looking for a diverse range of applicants who have a real passion for the M&E industry, perhaps wanting to change careers or kick start their journey with a growing local M&E business.
