Overview As an Aerospace Repairs Design Engineer, you will be responsible for developing innovative repair solutions for aircraft structures, components, and systems. You will work closely with engineering teams, production departments, and customers to ensure repairs are designed and executed in accordance with industry standards, safety regulations, and customer requirements. Responsibilities Design and develop repair schemes for aircraft structures, components, and systems, ensuring compliance with aviation safety and quality standards (EASA/FAA). Analyze and interpret technical data, including damage reports, engineering drawings, and material specifications, to create effective repair solutions. Collaborate with production teams to ensure repair designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet deadlines. Support the development and improvement of repair processes, tools, and methodologies. Liaise with customers and provide technical guidance on repair feasibility and solutions. Ensure all repair designs are properly documented and meet regulatory approval requirements. Stay updated with industry standards and technological advancements to improve repair design capabilities. Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance repair processes and reduce lead times. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Essential skills Strong understanding of aircraft materials, fatigue, corrosion, and damage tolerance principles. Proficiency in CATIA V5 and other engineering design tools. Knowledge of regulatory requirements such as FAA, EASA, and OEM repair manuals. Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure. Strong communication skills to interact with internal teams, external customers, and regulatory bodies. Experience Minimum of 10 years of experience in aerospace structural repair design.
