Certain Advantage are working in partnership with a prestigious manufacturing organisation operating within the automotive sector who are looking to hire a Senior Industrial Engineer.
Summary:
You will spend time on the shop floor observing current processes, identifying areas of waste, and improving equipment and workflows to reduce inefficiencies.
Your responsibilities:
Lead work studies and standard work methods for both new and existing production lines.
Oversee projects to design and implement manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with safety requirements, manufacturing goals, business objectives, and product specifications.
Apply manufacturing principles and practices to enhance equipment and process efficiency.
Ensure the application of standards while developing new manufacturing standards.
Communicate with and influence key external stakeholders, business leaders, and cross-functional team members.
Collaborate with internal and external resources on specific project assignments.
Demonstrate advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles.
Build and maintain relationships, coaching key stakeholders as needed.

Apply ergonomic standards, guidelines, controls, and tools to minimise ergonomic risks for employees in the workplace.
Analyse individual and machine work activities to optimise operating time, balance work distribution, and adapt to changes in customer demand while improving manufacturing processes.
Design operator workstations that are safe, ergonomic, and conducive to productivity, while considering cost, quality, and delivery to ensure an efficient work environment.
Create detailed manufacturing procedures in the correct sequence to ensure all stakeholders follow standardised processes for continuity and consistency.
Design or modify manufacturing processes by considering equipment, human interactions, production steps, and facility requirements to reduce waste and process time.
