Development Engineer

*Development Engineer Required for Leading Northwest based Privately Owned Housebuilder* This is an outstanding opportunity for a Development Engineer to join a Luxury Housebuilder. You will be joining a company that have considerable growth plans, they're looking to scale to around 500 units in the next few years so ideally they're looking for career minded Engineer As the Development Engineer you will work closely to the Technical Director and will be responsible for the planning and pre-construction phases of Development projects, overseeing all engineering solutions, design and planning issues and coordinating with Commercial, Technical, Production and Sales teams. You will be responsible for 3 Developments. Coordination and administration of topographical surveys, geotechnical/geo-environmental surveys, CCTV drainage surveys, utility surveys, structural surveys. General engineering support to the Managers, and the Land, Commercial, Sales and Customer Care departments. Engineering appraisals of prospective development land. Coordination and implementation of utility service disconnections and diversions of existing utility apparatus. Coordination and administration of new utility mains installations. Appointment of external civil engineering and structural engineering consultants, and the co-ordination and checking of the consultants designs. Coordination and administration of specialist foundation designs and quotations. Coordination and administration of S38 and S278 highway works Agreements, S104 and S102 sewer adoption Agreements and S106 sewer connections applications. Participation in pre-contract, pre-start and project progress meetings. Background Experience in a development role within the housebuilding Experience in liaising and negotiating with a wide range of individuals and organisations including professional consultants, local authorities, Registered Providers/Clients involved in the development process Excellent knowledge of the planning system and development process, design, and technical issues relevant to house building and affordable housing contracts Proven ability to manage multiple projects and to lead and drive the development process Proven ability to deliver projects on programme to meet start on site requirements A good understanding of Highway & Sewer Standards Construction Design & Management Regulations If you would like further information on this opportunity to join a well-respected builder, then please apply or contact me directly.
