Lead Software Engineer- iOS

We're building the bank of the future from scratch, channelling our start-up mentality every step of the way – meaning you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact. As an iOS Engineer in Nutmeg, at  JPMorgan Chase within the International Consumer Bank , you will work on enhancing and maintaining the existing native iOS application, which now has over 100,000 monthly active users and a crash free rate of 99.99%. The app currently supports a minimum version of 14 allowing us to consistently innovate and make use of the latest in Swift technologies such as SwiftUI and Combine. We currently have a single iOS application, a home screen widget extension, and integration with the Chase UK app which will continue to be evolved. Our iOS team is at the heart of this venture, focused on getting smart ideas into the hands of our customers. This way, there's scope for you to make a huge difference – on us as a company, and on our clients and business partners around the worldJob ResponsibilitiesFollow an Agile SDLC to develop and deliver product features to the native iOS Nutmeg applicationTake ownership of tasks from the estimation stage right through until the release stage and post productionIdentify, troubleshoot and resolve existing or newly-identified prioritised defects Write tests for all code you deliver and adhere to best practices/standards, ensuring high-quality code Take ownership of, or assist others with, bi-weekly releases and associated processes Participate in code reviews, ensuring high code quality and continuous development and learning for yourself and your colleagues Be someone who enjoys knowledge sharing, who is keen to attend and participate in some of the many skill share sessions we regularly hold in the iOS team and across the wider Engineering department. Propose/contribute/collaborate on Technical Initiatives - improving and evolving the existing codebase and toolset Be keen to ensure that we focus on solving the essence of the problem rather than merely dealing with the symptomsRequired qualifications, capabilities and skillsFormal training or certification on native iOS mobile application development concepts and proficient applied experienceGood Knowledge of object-oriented programming with Swift, XcodeStrong analytical and problem-solving skills + Proactive and willing to help others and put forward ideasExperience writing unit tests using XCTest frameworkExperience with the MVVM + Coordinator design pattern & Experience with best practices in mobile design (human interface guidelines, threading, etc)Good knowledge of core iOS libraries and frameworks (e.g. UIKit, SwiftUI, Foundation, Security, Combine)Experience of iOS application deployment (testing, approval, publishing to Apple store)Experience of automated CI/CD processes and tools (we use Bitrise but this is not a pre-requisite)Experience with monitoring and alerting in order to maintain a production application Good understanding of REST and what it means to work with APIs+ Experience with Git flowGood communication skills and can work well within a delivery team and manage interactions with other parts of the organisation, such as Product and Operations. Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skillsExperience writing UI tests using XCUITest or other frameworkExperience building or working with Design Systems (UI Development, White-labelling)Experience with modularisation and dependency injectionAppreciation for Accessibility and understanding of how to meet Accessibility requirements and Experience with React Native, as well as experience with feature flagging and A/B testing methodologiesUnderstanding of Mobile Application Security considerationsExperience in the FinTech sectorShow us your Github/Stack Overflow/app portfolio!#ICBCareer #ICBEngineeringJ.P.
