The Role As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with students to help them overcome barriers to learning, providing both academic and personal support tailored to their individual needs. This role demands patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt to a range of learning requirements. You'll become a vital part of the school's efforts to enhance educational outcomes for SEND students, helping to cultivate their independence, confidence, and social skills. Key Responsibilities Provide one-on-one and group support to students, adapting resources and learning activities to meet diverse learning needs Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment that promotes emotional well-being and self-confidence Collaborate closely with teachers and SEND staff to support individual education plans (IEPs) and monitor students' progress Assist with the personal care needs of students, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times Support students' social and emotional development, encouraging positive behaviour and relationshipsWhat We're Looking For To be successful in this role, you will need: Prior experience working in a similar role within a SEND or educational setting A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with students and staff alike An adaptable, positive approach to challenges and a desire to help students achieve their potentialWhy Join Us?
