Your role will involve working closely with clients, importers, and exporters as a trusted agent to coordinate safe, cost-effective, and efficient transportation of antiques and high-value items. Responsibilities
- Communicating with clients throughout the shipping process and collaborating with the Hemisphere team to provide logistics solutions
- Handling day-to-day Import ocean freight operations and customs processes
- Building and maintaining client relations for continued business
- Coordinating final mile delivery requirements with third-party suppliers and in-house team
- Providing general customs advice and creating customs and import ocean document
Requirements
- Ideally a background in a road/sea/Air freight role working for a freight forwarder would be highly desirable - This however is not essential
- Knowledge of customs procedures
- Understanding of AEO procedures, Bills of Lading, Inco Terms, and general customs compliance
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
