Mechanic/MOT Technician

We are looking for an Mechanic/MOT Technician for a small but ambitious garage business. The role will be based in Saltford, and is full time, Monday to Friday (working 8.30am 6pm). The role offers the chance to join a fun, friendly and busy business and be part of the companys next stage of growth.

The role

Reporting into the Garage Manager duties will include:

• Carrying out MOT's on light commercial vehicle and cars
• Carrying out the mechanical servicing, repair and MOT Testing on a variety of vehicles.
• Performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tyre rotations, and filter replacements, clutches and timing belts.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues on vehicles and equipment.
• Conducting inspections to identify potential problems and recommend necessary repairs.
• Using hand tools and power tools to complete repairs and installations.
• Maintaining accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
• Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Maintaining compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedure.
• Ensuring work is carried out to a high standard.

The person

• Experience in Mechanical Technician/Vehicle Technician
• You will be an MOT Tester with current valid license
• Strong mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting skills
• Proficiency with hand tools and power tools
• Familiarity with diagnostic equipment and software
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks

Salary

£25,000 - £32,000 plus 28 days holiday (including bank holidays), Monday to Friday (NO SATURDAY WORKING) 8.30am 6pm and pension.
