We are recruiting on behalf of a supported housing provider for an exciting new project aimed at improving accommodation and outcomes for young people aged 16 to 17 in contact with the youth justice system and at risk of custody (remand or sentence). This is an opportunity to be part of an innovative London-wide service working to deliver meaningful programs that promote personal responsibility, reduce offending, and support positive outcomes for young people. As part of the team, you will work closely with local authorities across London to deliver targeted support and interventions that focus on education, training, employment, and independent living skills within a trauma-informed environment. Key Responsibilities: * Safeguarding young people by working collaboratively with external agencies, emergency services, and following local authority safeguarding procedures. * Supporting young people to reduce offending behavior and assisting them in completing their court orders. * Creating and maintaining a trauma-informed environment within the home at all times. Requirements: * Relevant qualification in Social Work, Probation, Youth Justice, Youth Work, or a related field. * At least 1 year of experience working with young people at risk of custody. * Understanding of the challenges facing young people, particularly within the youth justice system. * Ability to manage and cope with challenging behavior. * Strong communication and team-working skills. * Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays. * In-depth knowledge of the barriers non-white young people face within the criminal justice system.
