An interim Continuous Improvement Engineer is required for an industrial/manufacturing business in Huddersfield. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimising operations, improving efficiency, and reducing costs. Description As the Continuous Improvement Engineer you will be responsible for: Developing, implementing, and maintaining optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods. Recommending and implementing improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Coordinating manufacturing launch for new or revised production techniques. Performing research, design and development of manufacturing processes and new technologies. Analysing manufacturing process flows continually for the enhancements of quality, cost reduction, and throughput. Collaborating with design engineering regarding product tooling and design to ensure effective production methods. Profile The successful Continuous Improvement Engineer will have: Worked in a similar position previously within a manufacturing or assembly environment. Proficiency in manufacturing systems and process improvement methodologies. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen attention to detail. Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles (line balancing, SMED, time studies). Good communication skills, both written and verbal. A degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
