3D POS Designer (Midweight/Senior)

3D POS Designer (Midweight/Senior) Leicester £50-£60k based on experience We’re working with a global provider of retail display solutions based in Leicester, who are, due to growth, looking to add an experienced 3D Development Designer to their busy product development team. Within the role you’ll be responsible for bringing to life a variety of ideas spanning complex merchandising solutions to POS displays situated in high street store environments, particularly within the beauty and cosmetics industries. You’ll be working to client supplied designs to produce 2D planograms and 3D CAD models using a mixture of AutoCAD and SolidWorks. The role offers a mixture of office and hybrid working so being in a commutable location of Leicester is crucial. The Role Design & Innovation: Create functional and visually appealing designs for POS displays and complex merchandising solutions. Client Collaboration: Work closely with brands and retailers to understand their project requirements, timelines, and budgets. CAD Design: Use AutoCAD and SolidWorks to produce 2D and 3D models and drawing packs. Manufacturability: Ensure that designs are practical and cost-effective for manufacturing, considering materials and techniques. Team Collaboration: Work with teams across the UK and Europe to optimise designs for production. The Person Education: Degree level education in Product Design or similar, with extensive experience in 3D design, particularly in POS. Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Material Knowledge: Expertise in specifying materials, finishes, and processes to create manufacturable products. Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Salary & Benefits The company offer a competitive salary up to £60,000 based on experience for this person. Typical working hours are 9am-5pm although there can be some level of flexibility around this and the company encourage a healthy work/life balance, offering hybrid working 2-3 days a week.
