We at Sharp are delighted to again be working with a fantastic client, who are looking to add a Finance Officer to their thriving Barnsley-based team. They are looking for an experienced and dedicated individual to add value across as range of functions, including payroll, sales ledger, and purchase ledger service.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management: Processing payroll and monitoring timesheets, handling new starters and leavers, statutory payments, and resolving payroll-related queries.

*

Sales Ledger: Oversee the invoicing process for a diverse customer base, ensuring prompt payments and addressing queries. Responsibilities also include generating customer statements and producing debtor reports.

*

Purchase Ledger: Manage all aspects of the purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy and efficiency and reconciliation of anticipated vs. received billings.

*

General Finance Support: Provide essential support to the finance team by processing bank transactions, managing petty cash, and conducting regular system reviews to help improve efficiency.

Essential Skills:

Strong skills in literacy, numeracy, and computer use, with intermediate Excel capability.

*

Excellent communication, organizational skills, and attention to detail.

*

Ability to handle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

*

A customer-focused approach and an eye for accuracy.
